Roles and Responsibilities
Applications are invited for the Post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for the DBT Funded Project in School of Biosciences and Technology (SBST), (BT/PR30566/BIC/101/1065/2018), Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT).
Title of the Project :“Cold active lipase from Pseudomonas sp. and its utilization in the enrichment of -3 poly unsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) in plant and fish oils”.
Qualification :M.E./M.Tech/M.Sc. or equivalent in Microbiology, Biotechnology and related disciplines.
Desirable (if any) :Candidates having expertise in microbial enzymes, FAME synthesis and analysis and experience in technical writing will be preferred.
Stipend : Rs. 31,000/- per month (for first two years) and Rs. 35,000/- per month (for the third year) for CSIR-NET/GATE qualified candidates. For non CSIR-NET/GATE qualified candidates the stipend will be paid as per the Institute’s norms.
